Lena Headey On How She Wanted Game Of Thrones To End

Lena Headey made a name for herself back in 2006 with Zack Snyder’s 300, but found superstardom among the Game of Thrones cast, where she was Cersei Lannister for eight seasons. Fans were enthralled with the villainess as she also earned acclaim with five Emmy Award nominations for the role.

Now, Headey is behind the camera for her upcoming film, The Trap, in which she’ll make her directorial debut. While she can’t promote the projects she has on the horizon because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, Headey did get into the ideas she had for Cersei in that final season of Game of Thrones with The Hollywood Reporter.

When asked if she thought Cersei’s end could have been better or if she had anything specific in mind for the character, Headey said she definitely had a plan. Spoiler warning for Game of Thrones Season 8.
